HELP!!! Tire and wheel fit

Making a decision today on Tires and wheels.

Its hard to find what I need quickly with so much info on this great site.

I hope guys can give me an idea if the following setup is off-roadable. The truck is my daily driver but I like to push its limits in the bush.

Truck is a 2007 4runner limited with V6.

I have recently installed 3" bilstein adjustable coilovers in the front and Toytec suerflex coils in the rear with bilsteins shocks. I have a 1" body lift that is not installed.

The proposed wheel is a pro-comp 17x9 with -6 backspacing. Proposed tire is GY Duratrac 285/70/17.

Will this setup flex to max if i do the front bumper/fender trim and remove front mud flaps?

Will the rear tire hit the wheel well or should it fit inside?

Alternateively I will run the Duratrac 265/70/17. I suspect I'll still need to trim the front and remove the front mudflaps.

I think there are a fair number of posts on setups similar to your--3" lift w/1" BL. Do a little searching.

In short the the 285s will work. The front will fit, but likely require some trimming. The back will fit--I'm not sure if any trimming will be needed.

What you should look out for is whether your front brake calipers will hit the rims. Does your Limited have the larger front brakes that the Sport Edition has? 338mm I think. If so, some of the 17" Pro-Comp wheels will hit raised portion of the larger calipers.

I have Pro-Comp 17x8 7089 and they fit over my Sport Edition Calipers. I've read about the 7069 wheels hitting the calipers. So do a little research or a test fitting.

Also regardless of the style, if you are getting alloy lug centric wheels, get ET (Extended Thread) lug nuts. You will need them because the Toyota studs are so short.

GY Duratracs -- great AT tires, and awesome in the snow.

I have a limited too and installing an OME lift. I'm going to run 275/65/18 duratracs on stock wheels. Google tire size calculator and you can cross reference the sizes to height and width.
