The Tacoma 4x4 has 16" rims

Either of the Prerunner or 4x4 have 6 lug wheel patterns.

My wheels are off of a Tacoma but not sure if these are the ones you're looking at. However these fit just fine.

Wow, those look amazing. Plasti dipped? It looks like you have oversized tires. Do you have a lift kit?

3" lift on 285s. Honestly I think the tires fit the lift perfectly. I'm going bigger when I get the opportunity. Also I'm running 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers.

All the newer (2005+ tacoma, 2003+ 4runner) wheels have much more backspacing than a 3rd gen. They'll usually fit fine with 265 tires, but if running a larger tire (285, 305 or 315), they will probably need wheel spacers or aftermarket UCA's (or maybe both) to clear.
I had a set of 17" taco/4R "sport" wheels with 315/70r17 BFGs (which run small) and they would not clear the UCA even with a 1.25" spacer. Just something to keep in mind.

I would like to get about that balance with 265/75/16s. Still sorting out all my details before I pull the trigger on the lift.

96 4runner wheel swap
I have a 96 Toyota 4runner and the wheels and rim are in better condition than
my 2000 Toyota 4runner that I recently got off fb.
I would like to know if I can swap those with no problems?

That depends on the wheel sizes. If they are both the same size wheel then you can swap them. If you have one with 16” wheels and the other with 15” wheels, then the 15” wheels won’t clear the brake caliper on the one with 16” wheels currently.
