Tire Chains & Cables Question
I have a 2008 Toyota 4Runner 4.0L V6 4WD Limited Edition with 265/60R18 BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 tires. I wanted to get tire chains for all 4 wheels but the owner's manual says never to install them on the front, only the rear. I wanted to install the QG2128 QUIK GRIP Square Rod Alloy (Light Truck) on the rear and was wondering if tire cables might be ok on the front without hitting the control arms or brakes or anything. The tire cables I was looking at are Z-579 Z-Chain and it says they meet S.A.E Class "S" Requirements but the chains do not meet those requirements. Does anybody know if it is ok to put the cables on the front or do you have any other recommendations? I am going to be using these for the deep snow and deep mud if I get stuck off roading, so, if you have a better recommendation, please share it with me. Thank you for your time.
