This is what i have found at some local shops and the cost(mounted balanced no tax)

Toyo Open Country AT $194
Nokian Vativia $209(the second quote on these is $184)
Toyo Open Country HT $164
Dunlop Grand tex At 20 $125
Kumho SAT KL-61 $188

I have the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs, and LOVE them. They are great wet/dry/snow/mud/dirt

I would recommend them.

Just got mine done

I got Michelin X Radial LT2..

In my opinion, they are pretty smooth and quiet...
I got them from Costco. Discount tires does not have it.

I plan on keeping my 2007 Limited for a long time. I decided on Michelin LTX M/S 2's. More $$$ but well reviewed on Tire Rack.

I had the Open Country and found they rode really rough, and did not get much mileage on my GMC Jimmy.

Leave them black on the outside.......looks much better IMO

out of the 5 tires u mentioned, id say go with the toyo open country AT or the nokian vitiiva AT.

First of all, delete the DumbFlob Grand Crap off your list.

Second, go to tirerack.com and compare the survey info on those tires. I think you want an AT tire and if I were you, I'd long hard and long at the Firestone Destination AT's. There's also a General that's impressive.

I've ran Michelin LTX's, Bridgestone REVO's, the Firestone Destination AT's and a host of others. The Firestones were the best bang for the buck, IMO.

I know people who are very happy with Duratracs these seem to be very popular, if you want something more aggressive that is a good all around on road and off road tire the new GY MTRs do very good.

Stoped at the local Goodyear Shop on a whim...they were very helpful...Tried to sell me Wrangler Silent Armor....177 Each mounted, balanced, tax etc...seems reasonable..Tire rack is 180 plus shipping and then i need to have them mounted. They appear to have some good reviews.

Anybody else here running these or hear anything?

Michelin Cross Terrains!

I bought my 4Runner used, and it had Michelin Cross Terrains from the factory on it. I was very impressed with them -- ride very quiet, handle well, wear like steel. Rolling resistance stats as far as gas mileage are excellent on these also. It looked like they were headed for about 60,000 miles, and the previous owner had NOT rotated them regularly.

I replaced them a little early because I changed out the wheels, so I bought another set of the same tires. Cost at Costco out the door was $216 per tire and included lifetime rotations, flat repairs, re-balance if needed, and road hazard. That included a Michelin instant rebate that Costco offers every few months it seems. I expect to easily get 60-90K out of these tires. I'm very impressed with them.

GYSA are a very good tire, you can find lots of threads on them. here they are on the stock wheels.

If you're in WNY too (I'm in Amherst) try the LTX MS2s from Dunn Tire. There is a $70 rebate on 4 and you can't beat that tire. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Very happy with my Nokian Vatiiva. I bought them for snow and bad roads, and they have been impressive. They are louder and do seem to get less MPG however than my Yokohama A/T dead traps I replaced with less than 10,000 miles on them.
