Tire help needed

Just installed my lift on my runner, now shopping for some tires to get me thru the winter until i can buy the tires i want. My buddy told me I would be able to fit 33s (triming may be needed), and was wondering if 305/65/17 would fit? I have stock 17" FJ cruiser ('07-'10) wheels. I guess what im asking is, what size tires should i be shopping for?

Do a search. Ive never heard of 305's fitting, your buddy is mis-informed. Even 285's would need trimming let alone those.

I have 285/75/16's and even after I trimmed, I still have body mount rub
