Tire Mounting

I used to have my local dealer mount my tires however I no longer trust their service department for many reasons (won't go there right now). Given the pressure sensors that are installed, what has been everyones luck going to non Toyota shops? I know that at my dealer they actually broke two sensors over the years and as they are Toyota and it was their fault they just replaced them. Does anyone have experience with a non Toyota shop damaging a sensor?

TPMS is very common place these days. I would say any good tire shop could handle it just be sure to tell the tech it has TPMS. If the tech is awake he'll know by the design of the valve stem but if the tech is half asleep he may not catch it. If they know it's there they'll know how to handle it...

If they do damage it will they usually replace it or would it be on my wallet to replace it? Thats my only concern.
