Tire Question?

So I currently have some Dunlop Grandtrek AT21s on my 99. They came with when I bought the car, and my dad (works at the dealership) said the tires were bought in 2008, about a year before I got the car. But the tread wear has been awful.

So I have been looking into getting some new tires (preferably some BFG All Terrains) and I wanted to see, should I just buy the new tires themselves, or look into getting some new rims while I am at it? And I'd prefer if I did buy some rims, they be OEM.

You have some of the best factory wheels already if you have a '99.

Just get some new tires! BFG AT's are classic, and great tires. Goodyear duratracs, Bridgestone Revo's, and Nitto TerraGrapplers are all great tires that look good and drive great on 4runners.

I am at that stage too, but not sure I would so BFG's.
there are good options that I think wear better.
but again to each there own.

Yokahama's geo landers were good on my full size truck.

but not sure if I will get them again for the runner.

Big O AT is a good tire I have on my Yukon XL that work well. with all the snow and weather
