tire recommendations

Looking for tire recommendations. Use is 99% street driven. All stock 03 V8 Sport. Looking for something reasonably priced that will last.

X3 on the geolandar. Still trying to find a reason to switch them out but so far so good, no noticeable road noise...

Agrred on these Michelin. I had the LTX m/s on my truck and they lasted 125k and were great in the snow and rain along with being totally quiet. My '04 has 102k on the Michelin Cross Terrain and there is still another 10k plus left before nearing time for replacement. They are more expensive up front, but if you plan to keep your rig for awile they will be the best and cheapest investment IMO>

They are more expensive, but they come with a 70K warranty.
My coworker has the same tires on her Ford and got 90K out of them before replacing.

I've never seen anyone recommend pirelli ? Ran them on my taco for yrs 87thou before I traded n now 05 4r 265/70/17 scorpion atr awesome quiet look aggressive really ggod trac n all weather just my 2
 
99% of my driving is street also...But I live in NH where we get snow (although not much this year). Snow will make a big difference in your tire selection.

I've been buying Cooper tires for quite a while now. Have owned many different sets of their Discovery Series. I'm getting the same performance as the Michelins I've owned and close to the number of miles as the Michelins. But the Coopers run about 30-40% cheaper then the Michelins.

If little to no snow then I recommend the Cooper Discovery HT. Excellent dry pavement tire. And if you do get some snow they can handle it.

If you get moderate amount of snow (50"+/yr) then I prefer the Cooper Discovery AT3. Very very good on dry pavement...Excellent off-road and excellent in snow.
 
Michelin LTX M/S2. Quiet ride, long lasting, big on grip, awesome reviews. BUT: Big money, but worth every penny. I don't off road (if so, I wouldn't have these tires).

Cross Terrains? Epic Fail in my book. My father had them on his RX300, they lasted less than 30K miles.
 
If most of your driving is on road then I highly recommend LTX M/S2

I don't think they make Cross terrains anymore. The old set last 75K
 
sorry yeah no snow. those with the Yokos, about how many miles are you getting out of them?

I've replaced with stock tires dunlop AT20, but they seem to be wearing out fairly quickly. Well this set actually picked up a bunch of nails/screws

I put 70K on my Yoko's and they still looked like they had 10 to 20k easily left on them. They still looked great when I sold them.

I ran those OE Dunflop AT20's on my truck after the Yoko's... Easily the sh***iest tires I've ever put on my truck. Only got 20K out of those. #feathered
