Discount Tire doesn't seem to have KO2s or Grabbers, but they have Falken Wild Peak AT3 for 126 a tire. That's a hell of a price for that size. I just read a FourWheeler review that spoke well of it as long as you don't do crazy mud. I do end up in mud sometimes with elk hunting.
oh and the grabbers are 51.1 lbs, KO2 are 40.
Yokohama Geolanders G015 have the 2nd highest rating behind KO2s on tire racks AT section. Only they and the KO2 (in my list) have the severe snow service rating. They're only 123 or 138 a piece for normal or LT tread, respectively. They don't look all that aggressive though, but I guess looks aren't everything

Just got some km2's few days ago, decided to take them over Snoqualmie pass this morning in very bad conditions, heavy snowfall on a frozen road surface.
They performed better than I expected on ice and snow. Not that it matters in this thread though. They expensive.

I currently have the Toyo MT in 255/85R16 (pizza cutters) and I LOVE THEM!!!! They have been in everything and held up great (never aired down because of no compressor to air back up). I've built my rig for exploring / expidition and I only got nervous once in deeper mud with no bottom in it. Not what I perfer to be in, in general but they still got me in and out with no issues.
What attracts me to the Nitto is, again my style of driving. I perfer mountains, dirt, river and creek beds. Plus a lot of highway miles to get me there. I just think that might be a better tire overall for what I've built my 4Runner for.
And $2000 for a set of 5 Toyo MT in a 35" is damn expensive.
Toyo MT is very popular up here year around. You can't go wrong with them. If you want a truck that will be USED off road then get the Toyo. If everything you do is paved, and hard pack up to a developed camp ground, try the Nitto.
My first set of tires were the Nitto Terra Grappler and they weren't enough for me.

BF Goodrich T/A KO2 - $174 at tire rack (Costco is 204 WTH)
Yokohama Geolander G015 - $138 at tire rack
Since my 4R is also my DD, I will want something with this rating.
I'd have to learn more about Yokos to trust them, but the other three i'm considering strongly.

the at3w will be a 4ply judging by that price.
Costco wont mount the bfgs unless you go with 265/70r16 which is a 30.5
keep in mind the expense of mounting balancing rotates and all that when buying off line. might seem cheaper tell it is shipped to the door and then you have to install them. get them balanced again ect..

I can't compare the two, but I am happy with my KO2s. They got great traction in the snow for me. I don't think any tire does well on ice without studs/chains/extreme siping/etc, but I am no tire expert. I drive my 4Runner pretty hard, and the roads are wet here quite a bit(Oregon; it's horrible here; nobody move here, please). I run pretty high pressure in my tires- about 42psi- and I have to TRY to get my tires to slip.
After 12k+ miles, they also still look new.
So, in my opinion, they're great tires. My buddy has them on his F-250 Powerstroke, and we went out and played in some mud one day. No dirty jokes. Even in the mud, they did awesome.
All that said, I wish it was in my budget to buy another set of tires. I'd really like to try the Ridge Grapplers.

AT3W is a steal for the price. I think the ten ply is 140. I just put the 4 ply on mine. Today actually. The big selling point for me was the weight. Decent off-road capabilities without adding 50 lbs at each corner. You may want to recheck the weight of the K02. Pretty sure it was over 50.

I have 10k on my at3's and they still look brand new. And there great in the snow and rain. I've had them in about 12-15" of snow and plowed through all of it no prob.

Yikes, shipping is free, but that's usually for the lower 48.
