I bought a set of 17" FJ TRD rims, powdercoated them black, sold the LE wheels and tires on craigslist.
Does changing the wheels out have an effect on the speedometer showing the correct speed?
I'm new to the forum and new to 4Runner, yes have searched diligently...
Getting ready to purchase a 2015 SR5(RWD), have driven one as well as a Limited. On the road the Limited handled much better than the SR5. My question is how significant a role do the 20" wheels, with reduced sidewall flex, positively effect the handling? Discounting aesthetics, and tire selection would it be worth it to try and include a wheel swap in my purchase? I know there are many owners who have done this but I can't seem to find any reports/reviews that bear out the positive handling of the switch. Thanks in advance and if this has been covered and I missed it pleased point me in the right direction - no worries on the flaming either.
TIA,
Neil
*the SR5 is my budget point and trying to sell an 05 Tundra TRD Stepside asap to make it happen.

It's apparent that I'm not comparing similar vehicles. My question is how significant a role do the 20" wheels, with reduced sidewall flex, positively effect the handling?
