my name is mike. i have a 99 gen 3 4runner. this model came with larger coils on the rear and i believe larger shocks on the front. bottom line people think it has been lifted by three inches, but it is the way it came. does anyone know if i could get a 265/75r/16 on it without rubbing. i have a 265/70r/16 cooper discoverer LSX on it now and there appears to be plenty of room. i could use a little help. does anyone know about this model that came with larger coils?

I know the 99 highlander edition came witha 1 inch higher lift than a regular 3rd gen

To answer your question, yes you can run 265/75s without rubbing. Most stock suspension runners can run that size just fine, so if you've got 99 talls, you should be more than fine.
