use the SEARCH button, tons of recommendations for tires on here...plus, you didn't give much info in your thread. A/T? Mud tire? Highway tire? What are you looking for?

Whatever type of tire you want, be it highway/touring or AT, you just can't beat Michelins. Expensive? Yes.......and do you get what you pay for? Yes. I got over 80,000 miles out of my Cross Terrains and I now have the LTX AT2s.
A good way to decide is go to Tire Rack.com and read the reviews, and you'll see quickly, how the Michelins have stellar reviews consistently above and beyond most other brands.
My decision to go with the LTX AT2s was partially based on my own experience with the Cross Terrains and reading so many reviews on the AT2s where the owners were getting near 100K miles on a set.
Also, Michelins are the OEM tires on all Airbus Jets (A319, A320, A330, A340, A380) and many Boeing models too depending on the airline.(B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, B787) That's pretty hardcore as far as tires go, IMHO.

Michelin ARE excellent tires...but they are TOO expensive.
Yes they last a long time...but they ARE expensive.
I switched to Cooper tires 15+ years ago when for some reason Michelin tire prices jumped 40%. I get the same or better performance as the Michelin's. While they don't last as long as the Michelin's..they do last ALMOST as long. And the cost is a LOT LESS. I was getting 70k on the Michelin's...I only get 50k from the Coopers...But when you price it how much per mile....the Coopers are almost 20% cheaper.
Another good alternative is the BF Goodrich. They are decent tires...and while they are owned by Michelin they are cheaper. For me...the Coopers were still a better deal.

I have 108k on my Michelin Crossterrains right now and will be putting new tires on in a couple months. Previously I have used Michelin LTX M/S and got 125K on them. My dad has almost 100K on his Michelin for his Super Duty and there is still good tread left. They are also the best on ice and do great in snow. Are they more $$. . . yep, but they far outlast anything else that when you factor in cost per mile they are actually cheaper. I won't use anything but Michelin anymore.

Michelin makes a good tire but they are not the only tire out there. Personally I have never gotten more than 60K miles out of any tire. I am on my 2nd set of Bridgestone Revo's on the 4Runner and have been very happy with them. The first set was good for 60K miles and I expect the same from the current set. They are quiet on road and have a nice aggressive look which I personally prefer over any of the Michelin. If you want something with a little more aggressive look you could try the Goodyear Duratracs. I just put a set on my FJ to get something with a more aggressive look and better off road performance. I can not personally speak to the life but based upon my research before purchase I expect in the 50K to 60K range as well.
Diligent in tire rotation, pressure and alignment. My wife has 80k on here passenger tire michelins and they are only rated to 70k. There is at least 20k left on them. . . maybe more. I have been to several tire dealers for different reasons. . . work and personal. While I am there I always ask for a quote and bs a bit while I wait. Everyone of them has stated that Michelins far outlast their published warranty and that getting 100k out of trucks tires is average. Not sure why you did not fair so well with your Crossterrains.

So am I. If you're actually getting 125k miles on those tires..then let Michelin know...Because from my research....you're well beyond what anyone else has ever reported.
Show me...because I haven't found ONE that shows anyone getting over 80k miles. Sure it's not 100k Kilometers???
I can't show you what the tire techs have told me and no it is not kilometers. I can take a picture of my Crossterrain tire tread and odometer if you like. . . they are the original tires. I am not going to argue with you. . . you don't believe me and that is fine, really don't care.
