Tires: Revos vs. Michelin vs. Yoko

Good input. Well, it seems like something I heard once is true - ya gets what ya pays for. Too bad, cuz I'm one of those few people who'd really like to pay less for more!

SoCal Runner...are those the Yoko AT-S or HT-S. I only ask cause I was going to get the AT-S but they didn't come in white letters.

Update on my tires...I got them installed yesterday and they look so different from the Duncrap's that I have a hard time deciding what I think of them. I think they look plenty agressive and so far so good on the road.

I will try to post a picture tonight, but having a hard time figuring out how to do that. Any tips before I search?

I got the H/TS 265/70/17. I may jump a curb now and then but i never go off roading so i went with a cheap, practical road tire. If i could build a time machine out of my 4Runner, i would go back in time and get some Michillins.

We'll just say that it generally delves into politics and that may be a third rail, so to speak, for some.

No different than me not buying oil from Citgo/Venezuela and other political decisions I make.

Not to get political on a non-political forum, but count me in on this one - I don't buy French either. They made our pilots fly around their country when we bombed Libya in the 1980s (about doubling the time they had to spend in the air), and they have been a constant political problem and non-ally in the various terrorist actions since (Iraqs, Afghanistan, etc.). Send your money to another country. There is some small hope that things will change a little bit with the new government. Thus, with plenty of other quality brands to choose from, I don't buy Michelins.
