tires rubbing?

I believe the general consensus is that there is NO RUBBING with 265/75/16 BFG AT tires on 3rd gen 4Runner. I have experienced none. Go with the BFG AT KO...they are really quiet for an AT tire (more so than the new Bridgestone Dueler AT REVO tires, which i had on before BFG). They also look great!
These tire sizes will not rub with STOCK suspension (3rd gen 4Runner ONLY):
1. 265/75/16
2. 275/70/16
Any bigger and it will rub.

I have 275/70/R16 and a SS 1.2 series 3" lift. I found that with the front sway bar disconnected when at full flex on the trails I experienced minor rubbing.
I was able to resolve it by removing the two bolts on the inside of the wheel well and by trimming one of my limited fenders.

3rd Gen Stock Tires Rubbing
Hey all,
Sorry for reviving a super old thread but I still can't post my own thread yet.
I live up in Michigan, so I recently bought winter tires for my 2001 Limited 4WD. BLIZZAK DM-V2 265/70R16 112R BW. Stock size tires, right?

Well I also recently bought some Stealth Custom Series F5 wheels to go with them. I got 16x8 3.50" BS 6x139.7 in matte gunmetal. I ended going the -25mm offset wheels because they were the only ones in stock and I figured, with SUVs that can rollover, a little wider stance couldn't hurt. Thier stock size tires, no big deal, right...
Well I am getting some rubbing on full turns.

What are my options here? I took out the bolt its hitting but it still just nicks both the running board and the wheel well. I think its metal behind the wheel well so I don't think the heat gun method will work.
I was planning on taking off the running boards already but figured I'd wait until winter was over and since its hitting both, seems like not a full solution. I think the heat gun method could work if it was just the running boards.
It's so close to not rubbing, I would like to take the quickest and easiest path to fixing this... Suggestions?

New alignment with increased caster. It is easy if all 4 adjuster cams on the lower arms are not frozen... (*IF*)

The -25mm offset (compared to factory 15) will do that. I'm anticipating rubbing with the -15mm wheels I just ordered, so you'll have even more with the larger offset.
You may have to do the pinch weld mod (the metal behind the plastic) to provide the needed clearance. At least that's what I'm expecting to have to do.

Thanks for the response Charlie!
All of this tire stuff I am learning for the first time so please bear with me.
So another thing the tire installers told me when I got them installed (at Costco) was that they had to do a static balance since the calipers obstructed the new wheels.
Does that affect the ability to increase caster? How do I know if I am already maxxed out? Like to go into the next tire shop a little more educated.

They do a balance off the vehicle, I don't see how your vehicle would limit a dynamic or road force balance. Caliper interferance issues can be solved by putting clip-on weights on the outer lip (though they are ugly...), but if you got 16" wheels, there should be decent clearance to the inner hoop area where stick-on weights would normally go.
The wheels/tires are a separate issue from the alignment.
