tires

I have a 1990 4runner and it has 15 inch tires on it. We have a fairly large ranch here in the Gilas and the trails are rocky with quite a bit of lava rock which are hard on tires. I would like to put 10 ply tires on it. What is the biggest 15 inch tire I can put on it and not harm anything?
Thanks

He's ****ing with you since technically you should of said "15 inch wheels/rims". But whatever. You can probably run 31 or 32 inch tires safely, 33s might require some bending/cutting so they don't rub at full stuff. I don't know squat about 2nd gens so I'm not too much help...

31s will fit with stock suspension. 32s or 33s might fit, depending on the specific tire and condition of your suspension. It's quite easy to put a moderate suspension lift on these trucks to clear larger tires.
