Tires

Looking to replace the Dunlops since their rating is lacking. Not into off-road (Revos) or Michlin. Need a decent high tire. Saw the Yokohama/Golander that seems to be rated very well. Anyone have any experience or comments on it.

Couldn't have said it better, I just got a set of 275/70r16 REVO's. I love 'em, they are very smooth nd don't make alot of noise. I never rub either without a lift.

Just sharing a good thing. I spent a LOT of money and aggravation trying to find a tire that works so well, on a truck.

interesting that your say "not into Revos" then everyone suggests Revos... does Bridgestone support this forum or something?!

Why not Michelins? I am considering the Michelin Cross Terrains, which are essentially an all season highway tire and get rave reviews. Granted, they're expensive, but tread life is suppoed to be excellent.

Otehrwise I've heard plenty of good things about Goodyear Forteras (but also expensive). Best bet is to go to tirerack.com and check out user reviews, which seem pretty reliable.

I don't work for Bridgestone, and nor do I care about them as a company. However, that said, the REVOs are THE BEST tire that I have ever purchased for a truck/SUV.

Forget about the fact that the REVOs are AT tires. I live in South Florida and, when it rains (and it does), the REVOs stick to the ground like rails! When you see cars sliding around the freeway, or even pulled over, my REVOs take my 4Runner straight and right through the slick roads with no problem.

Are other tires good, yes, but the REVOs really are the best. When they wear out, I'm going to replace them with REVOs again - period.

I have Revo's....good all around on road tire. The Revo's are a good all around tire,and although it say's AT on them , they are more classified as a somewhat semi- aggressive all season tire IMO.

They are quiet and handle well in wet & lt.-med. snow condition's. They look nice but not agressive.

The Yoko's are good tire's too, sister-in law just put a set on her Jeep.

Get Fortera Silent Armors. I have had these now for about 5000 miles and by far the best ride ever in an SUV for me. These are first new tires on the 4runner, but I tried many budget brands and sale tires in the past on my Grand Cherokee, and I have never enjoyed a quieter or smoother ride. I just recently made a 3 day trip to Miami, around town, and back. My wife commented on how it was now much easier for her to sleep during the trip. This is just my opinion, but you know my vote.
