Tires +

So I took my 08 T4R in for an alignment to a nation wide tire shop. They damaged my T4R (see pic) on 6-27-23 and a claim was filed at that store on Sunset Dr in Waukesha WI. I know how they damaged the adjuster cam, they didn't loosen the hardware enough before moving the cam and blew right trough the limit stop/bracket. I called customer service the next day to see how the damage was going to be repaired and was informed that it would be 3-5 days BEFORE someone would call me back. Well I wasn't having any of that and went and picked my T4R up.
So I have called probably 25-30 times to "customer service", just to see what their plans are to get a repair completed and NO ONE and I mean NO BODY has called back. I was given the claims advisers' number and left multiple VMs, I was given the claims supervisors' number and left VMs there too. I was given the mysterious "corporate" number and have left VMs there also. The parent Company for this national tire store that damaged my vehicle is Bridgestone and they bought Firestone. I'm typing this on August 14th. Anybody else have problems with this tire chain store/Bridgestone/Firestone? I really don't know what to do. The "corporate headquarters is in Nashville TN and I even called there but was transferred to "customer service" I threw in a picute of the other adjustment cam just to show what an umdamaged one should look like.

Good luck. I'd say you're off to a bad start with them.

You think? As of today I have called 27 times with no return email or calls. I have posted this on another forum also with a few good comment there. The reason I have posted this is to warn others that there doesn't seem to be any working process to repair damage done in their shop. Basically you are on your own at Tires + regardless of the cost. I'm just guessing but I would venture about $1000 if I were to have someone reweld a new tab and the realign to front end.....

Don't wait around on them. Fix the adjuster and have it aligned at a dealership, or let them do it all. Tell them to detail the issue on the RO. If you want to spend the time to get justice (I always do) then file complaints at the BBB, the Corporation Commission, then do reviews on Google and Yelp. It'll take a little time but you'll most likely get results. If they try to make your refund contingent on removing the negative reviews, do it, get the money, then slay them again with the fact they did that too.

This requires a lot more labor. You can easily hammer that tab back straight, lay a couple of quick tacks on them, and you are good to go.

Yea, I'm just going to replace the tab plate. I think that tab will break if I bend it back. I have a lift so it makes tasks like this much more enjoyable?

So I filed a complaint with the BBB. I had to file it with the BBB in Tennessee due to the fact that is where Bridgestone Retail LLC (Owners of Tires Plus) is located. BBB complaint ID 20513412 . I also filed a complaint with the TN AG after reading ALL of the BBB complaints for Bridgestone Retail LLC. Wow, I will never take a vehicle to Bridgestone/Firestone/Tires Plus again EVER. Not just because of the damage done to MY vehicle but because of how similar all of the BBB complaints are to mine. These guys are a bunch of hacks with no idea of how bad they really are, holy crap!

I hope you get it worked out. I’ve been loyal to Discount Tire for years. They only damaged my truck once, a broken lug. Immediately referred me to a repair shop and it was fixed the next day.

Twitter hastag is another big one. Their marketing people should see the bad commens that come up with #tire+ and @tire+ and hopefully reach out

If you are going through the trouble of replacing the plate, get one of the Cam Tab kits. Don't just replace it with an OEM.

Did the offending tire store acknowledge the damage and admit they caused it?

Yes a complaint was filed immediately at their store before I took my T4R back. I just received a letter from the TN Attorney General saying that Bridgestone (Tires Plus) has 21 days to respond to my request for a repair plan. We'll see if they respond or not.
