Toyota Land Cruiser Association. Anyone a member? Anyone heard of them? They're a club for all Toyota 4x4s despite the club name. Is there a 4Runner club around? I just e-mailed them for an information packet that includes their club newsletter.

I ran across them on 4x4wire.com. They have off roading trips a few times a year and thought this would be good for me since I'm a beginner.

Thoughts and/or comments are welcome.

I'm not a member of TLCA but do plan on joining soon.

They're a great organization and it never hurts to join. They offer alot of trail runs everywhere it's one way to meet new people and learn.

good luck

The membership is worth it just to get the semi-monthly Toyota Trails magazine. I'm reading the Jan/Feb issue right now. You can request a membership sample packet at www.tlca.org

Some chapters have zero LC's in them at all. The org is for "any owner of a Toyota motor division manufactured vehicle such as Mini Trucks, 4Runners and Lexus." (the Sept/Oct issue had a Lexus on the cover, much to the dismay of many members)

You do not have to be affiliated with a local chapter to join. Membership is around 2,950 world wide.

This month's issue has a great article (among others) about driving an LC from Kentucky to Belize. For the geographically challenged, that's below Mexico next to Guatemala.

The cover has an areal shot of 137 LC's lined up to spell TLCA on Pismo Beach during this year's Surf-N-Turf 2004.
