TomTom

Picked up a 08' Urban runner.
Bad thing is there is not a CD or cable to update the TomTom.
After reading the post - I will not use TomTom home for any update.

• Any one knows what the CD is called?
• Are there any updates for the computer side software?
• What are the latest software version and the firmware for the TomTom.

It looks like device is original software.

Is there a special site for the Toyota TomTom?

Any ideas would help!
Thanks!

Ken: Ah, the (in)famous) Toyota Tomtom Eclipse AVN2210P Audio/Nav System. I have one on my 09 TE (purchased new). I did not get a CD, so the only way I know to update is through TomTom. When I originally set it up, the Site went right to this unit. In the absence of the factory cable, I suppose you could use a connector with a Motorola port (same as one my Mortorla phone) on one end and a USB on the other. Doesn't look to be much else. Neither Toyota nor Eclispe supports this model any further, because I have been trying in vain to get a auxilliary kit so I could use it outside the TE. I just used aftermarket mounts and cables. Neither the audio nor the nav is particularly good, just adequate. I actually use a Garmin Nav with a ProClip mount for Navigation (mounted on the left ventilaton grille -not shown in the picture), and an IPod for audio (and that was an experience getting that installed). Several members have replaced the unit, I will be doing so soon.
Search Toyota Tom Tom for other experiences.
