Thanx for coming Fauxks and plz remember; drive like hell

Solo spacewalked these fine billets together , don't ever tell me the odds!
but the guide pins get the hidden credit.

Dont forget to check run out of pump hub on the torque converter before final assembly, TC temporarily bolted up to flex plate.
A true running hub will be better for seal longevity, and eventually protect some harder parts.

Rotate alignment by 1 bolt / pad match up at a time if having spec run out problems.

My flex plate didnt appear to be flat, but neither did the TC spun in trans and checked at the pads.

I was on the FIFTH orientation before it magically showed a low run out of 004 ... whew pretty much panicking by that point, from seeing .020 runouts , etc. The next step would NOT have been a (wi$er but expen$ive) flex plate replacement , rather would have tried lowering the higher pads carefully to fake planarity.

note the ghost of dr Zhv has left the building

Staging studs

make two studs, one a wee tad shorter than the other to align things so you dont have to do it with the torque converter pilot,
insert studs into a couple bolt up holes to ease that trans on

on the level

I really have no clue how I leveled ( off leveled as a matter of fact) this 8 foot long monstrosity when pulling it awhile back.

I'd be tempted to install in separate pieces but the monster A340 overwhelms my trans jack. Has to go in coitus.

Probably hit the pickypull for a couple more eng lift hooks so I can grab it by four corners, to get that necessary angle.

I lift using a sling & chain fall over a beam over the garage bay, so I actually have to slip the TRUCK around the eng/trans, not the more common process to move / maneuver eng INTO truck. Not unlike holding a lightbulb, while the world spins around me.

I picked up another set of HF car dollies (tire roller skates) yesterday to put all four corners on casters.
Could be mighty embarassing if it slips away from me and rolls thru the gar door down the driveway
