I have my 4Runner (4L, 2007) for a few months now. When I bought it I went to the dealer for a service. They have changed the oil (although I did not ask them to do that). So, they put the regular mineral oil. I thought - ok, next time I will do it myself and change to synthetic.
So, finally the time came and I have changed the oil to Mobil 1. All good, no issues, etc. But I have noticed that the amount of old oil that came out was at least a liter more than it should be! So, the dealership just overfilled the engine (the same happened to my other car - Honda when I went to a dealer).. I am sure for 4 liter engine this was probably not a big deal but .. curious what you guys think.. and why these 'professionals' put more oil?
