tool kit recommendation

I am in the market for a mechanics tool kit. do you guys have any recommendations on what brand and type i should get?

That Craftman stuff is OK for the average Joe in his garage over the weekend. Make sure it is Metric, Metric and more Metric.

There is a Harbor Freight tool store in Pasadena.You have to pick out the good stuff from the junk but you can get decent tools there.

I got the craftsman 154pc mechanics set for Christmas last year. I just love it. I can't say if it's the best but it's by far the best set of tools I've ever used and having full sets of both english and metric in a portable case where everything has its place it just priceless for me.
