Got mine off amazon I think. I do it right before I change my oil when I don't forget. It's neither difficult nor expensive.
Do it, there’s too many armchair mechanics in this thread. What do they know that the dealer doesn’t??? :keyboard:
Which vacuum hose did you used for the top engine cleaner? Watching the Youtube video, he stated to used the port closet to the throttle plate. Can you snap a picture of which hose you used to do this process?
What are people’s thoughts on adding TCW-3 oil to gas (1oz to 5 gallons)? I searched and did not find much on 5th Gen board. Interesting concept

Apparently they don't know how to remove the oil housing drain tool which resulted in chocolate rain for me.

I have used Sea Foam in 4 strokes. Not sure where the "2 stroke" thing is coming from?
I have over 1.3 million miles on just four Toyota vehicles in my "collection"
Once warranty is over, They never see a dealer again.
PEA is key. (Polyetheramine)
Do your research and stop wasting money on snake oil.
Good morning 4Runner family,
On one of the maintenance they wanted to do was a fuel Induction service. They wanted to charge me $220..
The last time any of my Toyota's were at the dealership is when I drove them off the showroom floor. The "free" oil changes and maintenance they offer, during warranty, is just a scam to get buyers hooked on their overpriced, sub-par services. Toyota make a great vehicle, but their dealer network sucks donkey dick. As member "Electroboy" recently said: "Nobody gives a shit about your stuff like you do" Amen brother!

I hear ya on the "Nobody gives a shit". Unfortunately I'm too old and too fat to do my own maintenance. Especially with that archaic, diabolical canister oil filter. This dealer, for the last seventeen years and five 'Runners and one Tundra, has not tried to sell me any "snake oil". I must be one lucky somenabich. HAH!
On another note, when my aunt was looking for a car, I said "Get a Toyota, they're bullet proof". 'Nuff said!
They wouldn't let me put the "t" in *****. LOL!
I’m sure the dealer who charges 300 dollars for putting nitrogen in your tires and does unnecessary maintenance knows best.
They would never charge me $300 dollars for nitrogen I know they’re good people.
