Top Speed?

Does anyone know what the top speed of the V8 Limited is? Just curious if its faster than my previous supercharged 2k runner was.

OK,

So where do I get one of these top speed unlimiters. I had one on my 2k, and with the supercharger, it would peg the speedo with ease, and I did salvage it from the vehicle before the insurance co took the truck. I got that one from URD, but their web site doesn't mention if they have one for the V8. I know the top speed is at least 105.

Why would you want to do more then 110MPH in your truck!! , is it stable above those speeds and what speed ratings are your tires. If you lost control of that truck at 110 or more you can kiss your a** goodbye.

Be careful.

I completely agree with Mikes4runner. It's not a sports car, it's a damn truck. If you want to go fast, get a sports car engineered for speed.

Thanks for your concern, as a matter of fact,I do own a Porsche for that fact. I've also owned and raced many cars as well. I've asked for an answer, not a lecture. You do not know how my truck is prepared for speed either. If speed is such a concern for anyone, put a top speed LIMITER and set it for your local speed limit.
You could kiss your a** goodbye at a much lower speed as well by using your cell phone when you drive.. Its not always having to go that fast thats important, its knowing you could. I didn't see any negative posts about turbo charging our vehicles or adding a supercharger-the same argument holds there, why does anyone need more power? Just because we do. Thanks for letting me vent.

the speed limiter is at 110-112 mph, as this is the standard rating fo the tires. people with M/T tires please remember that theyy have a lower speed rating, normally 90-100 mph.

without the limiter the 4R should be good for more than 120 mph, possibly 130+, completely stock. mine accelerates pretty strong over 100, but the fastest i have went was 105 or so. If you are stock it is vey stable, especially with XREAS. I'm lifted now with larger tires so I go a bit slower now.

Thanks bulldog-yota. The vehicles are extremely stable as you noted, which I would think they would be as they are probably some of the finest engineered pieces of machinery available. I would think if these 4runners are sold in european markets, where there is no speed limit, they would not be limited to the same speed as ours.

There sold over here

I'll have to ask a european guy around here with a RHD version from britan if he has a limiter. Mine tops out about 112, don't hit it much but sometimes I catch up with the exotics for pictures. I have my little vw for that mainly though, its fun on the tracks over here, my 1800 car on the same track as a 1.5million McClaren and taking the corners faster because I"m not worried about f&*^g up my car:)

The fastest I have reached (GPS-Speed Reading) is 210 km/h, with my speed unlimiter (with H Rated Tires...). I had the same "hating" when I originally asked about removing it.. I too owned a 996Turbo, and my M5 was just stolen while I was in Montreal.... (Getting a new one soon tho!)

I bought mine from URD also. I had problems with the first one throwing a code all the time, the replacement seems to be working ok..
