Hello gents. My name Stauffer and I got into the forerunner seen a few years ago with a first GEN 4runner from my good buddy (see picture below)
After owning that for a little more then a year I had enjoyed the hell out of it but at the time I was starting to build a turbo charged Datsun 510 and decided the funds I would get from my 4runner would be able to help out a lot in my other build so I sold it.
For the past few years I have had a daily Honda Accord that has treated me very well but in my line of work I need something a little bit bigger. I also miss the fact I was able to go camping and wheeling with my other 4runner so the search began to find another vehicle that was big enough and the first car that came to mind was another 4runner. At first I was looking at the third-generation 4runners and was planning on getting one of those but after seeing a few of them I decided I want something a little newer and something that I would be a little more comfortable in. Being six-foot five third-generation forerunners are a little tight so the search began for a fourth generation.
I was in no rush to get a vehicle but after a few months of searching I was starting to get impatient. It seems like every car I drove in every Karluk that there was something that I could not settle on. I was very specific on what I wanted and here in Southern California four-wheel-drive is something it's a little hard to fine and I also have the fact of deciding if I want to either you V6 or V8. I planned on doing a little bit of towing so in my mind I decided that either a V6 V8 would be good for me so whichever one came first is the one that I would get. Finally seven months into the search I had a job that weighs eight hours up north for me and on the drive up I looked on craigslist and found a vehicle that pretty much checked all my boxes. So I went over to the lady's house looked at the car and within a half hour purchase the car.
This is a 2005 V8 limited 4runner. They came with the heated seats the factory navigation and a lot of cool off-road stuff. There is no first test for a car like an 8 Hour drive home so I was very please to get 20.4 miles per gallon. Now onto some pictures

Within 45 minutes from being home I was already at Home Depot getting a couple cans of satin black plasti dip. I also dipped all of the badges on the car but in this picture I did not yet do that
And of course after I got the wheels looking pretty and everything cleaned up I decided to test her out
