Torn Front Shocks

Any else experience torn front shocks at 30k miles? The dealer said the techinician found that both front shocks were torn. Replacing them under warranty at least.

I bet if you were lifted they would have denied that claim. Luckily they are covering it. If they front two are torn, I am assuming you mean they are leaking then? Since they are X-REAS, make sure they swap out all 4 shocks and the two resevior tanks. Thats what the manual calls for; to swap them out in pairs (front/rear).

In short... I dropped off my car at the dealer... questioned them about replacing all 4 b/c of the XREAS... they gave me the deer in the headlights look... called me 20 mins after I left to tell me they ordered the wrong parts. I knew it after reading your post. Any chance you can post or email me that section of the manual where it describes what's involved here?

Update: Dealer ordered complete suspension setup, shocks, X-REAS equipment, etc for my 4Runner just to be safe. At least I'll have a brand new suspension !!!
