Torn leather?

I've got 2-3 small cuts on the drivers side leather seat, all on the left hand side that were caused from getting in/out. The longest one is a L shape and it is probably 2 inches long in total. The others are just strait cuts about an inch long. I went by a local upholstery shop. They wanted to unstitch the seat on the top side and replace the material. I don't have a problem with this, as it would make the seat look new again. However, they didn't have any type of material that would match the seat color. I really don't want half my seat a different color than the rest (or I guess a different shade of the tan), and they wanted $150 to do it. Does anyone know if this is fixable in any other way? If not, I may just get a set of seat covers so it'll be covered up and just hope it doesn't get worse.

Something like that is what I'm really looking for. I realize it'll be visible, but it'd be a cheap fix and probably just as good as using an off color piece of material to repair the seat. I'm hoping some of the guys here have used some of the stuff before and can make suggestions on which kit to use, because I'm sure some are better than others and I don't want this to be a trial and error process to figure that out. Thanks!
