Laughing at myself today. We don't get real tornadoes in Idaho- if there ever is one it's tiny and worst case might take a roof off a shed or something like that, and never in the mountains. Today my cell phone started beeping at me with a text that said there was a tornado warning. Checked the weather to find out there was a storm cell headed right for my house that according to the warning not only had produced a tornado that touched down but also 60 mph straight-line winds and large hail. Put the dogs in the basement, covered the garden, and then all I could think about was a tree falling on my 4Runner. Moved it right up next to the house so that hopefully if one went over it wouldn't land on it. Screw the house, screw the Tundra, but don't let the tornado get my blurple Runner! Storm turned out to be a dud at my house, but there were some funnel clouds seen a few miles from me. First time that's happened in the 30+ years I've lived on the Yellowstone plateau.
