Torque app throttle % and TPS issue

I have noticed that on my torque app, when the engine is idling the throttle is said to always be open about 9%. Is this normal for anyone else who runs torque pro?

I have been having TPS codes pop up occasionally and its usually solved by messing with the harness/plug on the TPS. I have replaced the TPS, plug, and about 8'' of the harness to try to solve the code but it still pops up sometimes. This happened again last night and I loosened the TPS screws and when doing that I noticed I got a little adjustment out of the TPS. I could clock it like an 1/8'' and i could watch the throttle % on torque move from 9.0 to 10.2%

Lastly, With the engine off and Torque open, if I floor the gas pedal, the throttle % only says 72% but the butterfly is open all the way. When no CEL is on, it runs fine and has enough power to pass and do 85 with no issues. Any ideas what is going on with this thing?

mine was around 15, I really wish someone could put nominal values on some of these numbers, or how to read them and have a nice excel file on typical min max etc.

If you have no problem, and you idle at 600rpm, long term short term fuel trims are okay, and don't stall at idle. I think you should okay.

You really want the 100% throttle to read right, that was the ecu is correctly switching from open to closed loop when you go WOT. If I remember mine correctly its around 10% also at idle. I will have to double check later.

Bumping this back up
My CEL went away and hasn't come back since late last year but today I noticed that my TPS % is now reading 17-19% at idle and, my idle is now up around 1400rpm when in neutral or park. I messed with the TPS and harness tonight to see is it would change anything like it did before but it did nothing. I am getting no codes or CEL and the throttle doesn't seem to be sticking open.
Anyone got any ideas?

That % sounds right for idle. Check for vacuum leaks.

Did a quick check for leaks last night and didn't find any. Will do a more thorough search later today.

Spray the top of engine with brake cleaner and vacuum lines. Pinch all vacuum lines coming out of the intake 1 at a time. And if nothing maybe the IAC is jammed with dirt.

The quick check I did last nigh involved using carb cleaner and there was no change or fluctuation in the engine at all. Pretty sure it's not a vacuum leak that's causing this because of the change in the TPS % reading.
I'm curious, what other people who use torque are getting for throttle % at idle and at WOT?

Well, if it were me, I'd dig out my FSM and DMM and test the TPS the old fashioned way rather than polling the internet about whether Torque works. But that's me:

Many (most?) vehicles don't show 0% TPS at idle and 100% at WOT. That's probably normal. I'd suggest following TheDurk's advice.

The only thing OBDII TPS is useful for is checking to make sure it is a decent continuous signal through the pedal range. The ECU should otherwise know how to correct for things as long as the TPS is adjusted to the FSM specs.

I didn't think asking anyone else who uses torque a question to compare numbers was be a bad thing.

It's not 'bad', I just don't think it is an efficient way to solve the problem.

If I remember correctly at idle it should be about 8-12%, wot >60%. Think I'm around 10% at idle, and maybe 70-80% @ wot.

Threw my multimeter on the TPS and the first 2 checked out fine but the 3rd one (VC-E2) was not in spec. Threw on another TPS and all seems well. And yes, even on torque, the TPS signal is reading pretty much how it was before. At idle % is now 7.5 and WOT is 70 so, thanks guys.
