I've noticed a tad bid of dirt in the upper ball joint of the upper control arm. Is this area something I want to keep spotless and lubed at ALL times or is it okay to do maintenance along with grease every oil change?

Also, who is running TC cv axles with a 3" lift...but not the long travel kit?

I put a few drops of lubricant in there every 5k miles or so. It's easy and cheap maintenance.

Yes, this is the only real negative part of a uniball design. Just keep it cleaned and lubed.

Got it. I am stuck between the SPC UCA or the TC UCA... Just because of the ball is exposed to the elements. SO lube it good from time to time. But do you have to take it apart to clear it after like a really sandy or muddy trip?

Just spray wipe and lube. No need to tear them apart.

There aren't any boots that go on the UCA Uniball. At least I haven't seen any.

To OP. I've been running same uniball for 2 years. Has seen, snow, water, mud, sand and is smooth as the day I got it. No play nothing. Again, as everyone has said. Keep it clean. That's the key. It's not hard to spray the dirt out with compressed air or clean water. That's all
