Totaled my 4Runner... :(

ok, not really my current 4Runner but thought the title would shock a few of a y'all

I found some OLD OLD pics of my '95 I totaled back when I was like 17. I thought I had lost these photos! I had an interesting subscription email from a webshots.com account linked to an old username I use to go by as 1Tough4Runner. When I signed into it (surprisingly remembering the password) I found my pics of my old 4Runner in it's final few days. Long story short, fell asleep going home and put it in a ditch. Lucky to be here, seat belt saved my life. Had a huge seat belt rash from hip to shoulder, bruised femur (couldn't walk for a week), and a gash above my right eyebrow. Was pretty lucky!! Anyways, I'm glad to have another 4Runner in it's memory and happy this one has lasted a lot longer than my previous one lol.

I think ARKRWLR was waiting for Paula Jones to come out of the Peabody Hotel and the Arkansas Secret Service had their way with his 4runner. Glad you were OK.

I remember that there was a 2nd gen 4runner that fell off the Cooper River Bridge in Charleston, SC onto a marsh island (think soft mud) and the thing was still running. It was over an 80ft drop and the drunk fool managed to survive.

I almost cried for you when I saw that title, that would have sucked. Although part of me was thinking it was "totaled" by the insurance and you could make it dedicated wheeler and do some nice upgrades with the payoff. That is scary seeing your old 4runner and I know I've had some oh **** moments while getting sleepy at night.

I also went through the Jeep phase because I just couldn't pass up a lightly used and well maintained '91 YJ for $2000, which I flipped six months later for $6500, which paid for my '85 Gen1 4Runner (solid axle, 2.5" lift on 32s, ARB rear locker and OBA, front TruTrac, CB, stereo, etc.), which I subsequently sold to get my current '96 Gen3 4Runner work-in-progress...
