Towing a 4runner with a dolly (front wheels up)

So after driving 6 1/2 hours last night and sleeping in the rattiest motel ever I will be bringing a steaming pile of 4runner home with me soon. Uhaul doesn't want to rent me an auto carrier, they'll only rent me a dolly. Is there anything specific I need to do to prep it for a long tow?

I wasn't sure if i needed to disconnect the drive shaft or anything like that. It is also leaking a bit of fluid out of the rear diff input seal and might need some fluid. I should know the spec but I just can't think of it and searching is difficult since I'm on mobile.

Just put the 4wd lever and tranny to N and away you go

If it's an automatic, pull the rear shaft. Putting it in neutral won't allow you to take the keys out, and the car will still be "on", though not running.

If it's a manual, Just pop both in neutral and go on.
