I have an 87 4runner I need to get some work down on and it's not street legal.
It's running and all 4 tires are good.
Just need to tow it about 10 miles and could tow it at 35-45 MPH
A short distance u can probably get away with just putting it in neutral. Any farther you're gonna need to disconnect the rear driveshaft at the axle and use a coat hanger to suspend it.
We're talkin flat towing right?
Proper practice would be to pull the drive shaft. Not just for proper oiling in the t case, but so a hard bump in the road doesn't knock it into gear at speed. But for 10 miles, meh..
