Towing Automatic 4 runner

I've got a 1992 4 runner that is automatic with auto hubs. Can someone tell me how to get the transfer case in neutral and if the oil pump is on the input or output side of the transfer case? I want to keep the Runner, but need to tow it behind motorhome.

I haven't seen anything. Perhaps one of the RV forums may be of help.

If you can't get any better advice then put it in 2wd and take the rear driveshaft off. If it's a one time tow put it in 2wd, N, start the engine and let it idle while underway.

Does the '92 have a "N" position switch on the transfer case? The 4th gens lost the functionality, so you cannot tow a 4th gen behind a motorhome without a trailer. Usually to get a 4WD into N on the transfer case, you need to be on a flat surface with the engine running, and the transmission in Neutral. Park or any gear will not let you move to N.
