According to a manual from 1987, vehicles with manual trans limit is 3500 lbs and 2000 lbs. limit for an auto trans.

psh!!! that 3500lbs is only a suggestion. i pulled a 22ft camper trailer up a hill in first gear, took a second to get it going but it went and after the hill i pulled it another 10 miles to the owners house. i do have v6 diffs so that mighta helped alot over stock 4 banger ones.

right on thanx for all the help guys so the story goes i just bought an 18ft tandem axel trailer and a new hitch and my truck has a fresh ad a leaf and im pulling a 1954 dodge car with no motor or tranny or interior but ill have some extra parts stored on the trailer as a final say yay or nay? im thinkin if im careful i can pull it off

do it. Unless you wear safety glasses every time you use a screw driver... And if the tires flatten out, just put some more air in them! Man, just try it slow and if it doesn't feel right stop and try something else.

lol well dont think less of me but the problem is i want to try it but its an 18 hour drive 1865km from nova scotia to ontario but i think if i stop every 3 hours and give a once over check and sleep and make it a 2 day trip ill be ok
