Towing down to from NJ - Myrtle Beach

I am going to undertake my first road trip where I am towing 2 motorcycles. I have never towed anything before so I was wondering if people have some advice, dos/donts, and instruction of how to setup the trailer and how I should drive. I am also having the vehicle packed full..will be interesting to test the v6 and also the brakes.

Your brakes should be fine - more than adaquate for your load. Watch the tack and put it in 4 when going up hills - also good when going down hills to reduce braking. The main 2 things about towing are: it takes longer to stop!! and don't forget about the extra length - use your mirrors and pay extra attention until you get used to using them. I like to track a vehicle past me in the mirror (right side). It is best to set your mirrors so you have to lean a little forward to see the side of your vehicle - it is not going anywhere. This gives you the greatest angle of view.

is it better to tow in 4wd or in 2wd? does it even matter?

2wd is just fine for anything but winter conditions or loose gravel. If you have traffic on the hills or even downhill or flat, use the gears to control speed and reduce shifting. I suggest you try a few things when you first get going to get the feel of the load and the trailer, especially if you have not towed before. It is really not that big of a deal, it is just that there are alot of people that tow that obviously pay no attention to what they are doing and I wouldn't want a t4r to look like that.
