Toyota Dealer is a joke!

Such a joke, sadly someone will pay it. I was very interested in the Pro when I was shopping for my 5th gen, but the 10K additional pricetag plus all the other upcharges completely turned me off. Plus I couldn't get a Pro with the Nautical Blue or a sunroof which I was annoyed with. Honestly, other than the suspension and a couple odds and ends, what are you really paying for?

...it has a moonroof, standard. Just not Nautical Blue. It's either Super White, Midnight Metallic Black, or the Voodoo Blue... that's it... If I had my choice, I would have got the Magnetic Grey Metallic again.

Yea, fly somewhere. TRD Pro is a TRD Off-Road with Fox shocks and 1 inch of lift only in the front, Nitto tires with black SEM wheels that are a half inch less in width than an Off-road, and a few colors you can't get on any other 4Runner. You can't even get a moonroof or KDSS on a TRD Pro.

Get an Off Road Premium with the upgraded sound system and a moon roof. Then put a Toytech Boss 3" lift on it and swap out the wheels for SCS Ray10's and 285/70R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and you will spend much less and have a better vehicle. Only thing you can't do is get the orange or granite colors. You can even swap out the front grill to make it look like a TRD pro for about 5 or 6 hundred dollars. Just make sure you don't get the stock running boards that have a welded on step that will catch rocks. Purchase a real slider and install them yourself.

I think some have been getting TRD Off-Road Premiums for 3 or 4 thousand less than MSRP. By the time you add your upgrades you will probably be still below MSRP or right at it. That's way less than a TRD Pro and way better.

Just order one. Im on my 6th pro and most of them i ordered for 1500 under msrp. Each time it would be from a new dealer in my area. Try and find a toyota dealer thats small that has nobody in front of you who already ordered. Wait time was usually 3 to 4 months.

6th pro, are you trading in the old one or selling? Curious to as what your cost of ownership has been with the strong residual value? The few dealers I've talked with have been willing to do about $1500-4000 off msrp.

Local Ford dealer had a new Raptor marked up 10K over MSRP and wouldn’t budge on the price. I drove 45 minutes up the interstate to another dealer and bought the exact same truck with the same options and color for 1K over the true dealer invoice .

PRO only holds it value if you keep it stock. Once you start modifying it you lose the nostalgia of the so called PRO.

For 7K market value robbery, I'd buy a OFF ROAD and throw on an icon suspension and scs wheels and you have a much better and unique rig. Nuts. We dont have this price robbery here where I live in Canada. Supply is low for PRO also here.
