Toyota of Irving ended up being a life-saver for me during a recent ordeal with another local offroad shop:

Scott (in the parts dept.) of Toyota of Irving and his mechanics took at look at my truck, realized that the other shop had screwed up the front suspension, couldn't fix it themselves, but helped me get some parts fast and lectured the other shop on what they had done.

Mostly though, I was impressed by Toyota of Irving's customer service and willingness to help with off-road related mods, as I know most dealerships are less than pleased dealing with these things.

Parts / Service dept. is great. The used cars sales is an entirely different animal. They were awful in my personal experience. They promised me something on a sale and it was like pulling teeth to get them to come through on their promise. It took 2 managers later to get it done. A full set of keys. That is it!

Yeah, well, I'm starting to discover that their service dept. isn't all that great either.

They've had my truck for over two weeks, lost my keys at first, scratched my door, didn't do one of the main things I asked them to do because they "remembered me saying it but weren't sure what I meant" (and didn't think to simply ASK me one of the several times I called them for a progress update), and have now had my truck for three MORE days to do the simple thing I asked which they forgot, after promising me it would only take an hour to do. One hour does NOT equal three days.

So ... ugh. Yet another disappointing dealership experience.

Bought mine from Don Davis Toyota in Arlington. All I can say is Idiots. I now go to Sport City Toyota in Dallas for all my parts and tranny fluid

Spouse had the same kind of experience at Irving....the check engine light came on...

After a week or so of being without the vehicle and $700 (seven hundred dollars) later-the engine light was off and the car passed emissions tests.

I am glad to report that the engine light stayed off for almost two hundred miles. After that, I did the internent fix....and after awahile the light stayed off

The last new Toyota I bought was a 2004 4Runner. The dealers have the worst service ever (Plano). I now buy New Hondas for the service & great resale & out of warranty toyotas for myself.

Forgot to mention the tire warranty the tell told me came with the car requires a $40 tire rotation every 4-5k miles at their stealership only. They asked me to sign a form declining the tire warranty since I wouldn't pay them to rotate my tires & I told them to suck it.:banana: I had to mention this, I still remember this & it's been 8 years Toyo of Plano.
