Hi guys! I am a long time member on T4R but just got rid of my 4Runner and picked up an 05 Sequoia. Love it except for a few things I cannot shake.
First, the biggie. It will NOT go into programming mode, so i cannot get the remote programmed. I took it to
Toyota to program and they couldn't get into programming mode either. They said it cold be a door sensor or an ECU. $150 in order for them to diagnose which I declined at first but now I am kind of getting sick of not being
Able to use the remote.....especially with a 6 week in tow. I have the error code the computer at Toyota gave them. I can post it tomorrow.
Also, the rear door lock will not lock or unlock with the key....and the rear window won't roll up or down with the key. The lock will lock from the front door locks and the rear window rolls up and down with the button up front. Any ideas? I took the rear panel off and the key cylinder just turns but there is nothing connected to the back of it....also an empty input plug nearby but I don't see any wire that would go into it.....maybe it is missing a cable?
