Software is on a cd and not loaded on the cable, but you can also find it online if you don't have a cd drive.

You can also copy the files onto a thumbdrive to install from there, its what I did with my old Acer Aspire One netbook.

I'm pretty sure the 16 pin OBDII to USB cables are all the same. What will matter is if the driver for said cable is updated to use 64-bit Windows 7,8,10. Either way, just use an old 32 XP machine or VMWare.

Cool, yeah, I downloaded the GTS_10.10.018_NDSI file. Next thing for me to do is figure out the configuration. I have watched some YouTube vids that say to choose Europe for your region, etc. Do you know what I have to plug in there to make it work right?

Sorry Bart, I wasn't saying I've tested it. I just ordered mine. I was posting a blurb from the unit I ordered on Ebay pertaining to Windows 10 64 bit compatibility (in reference to the post above mine).

That being said I would make sure the YouTube videos telling you to do that are not from people who actually live in Europe. I can think of no reason us here in North America would want to do that because Euro specs vehicles and NA spec vehicles are definitely not the same.

I tried to use the one from Amazon and it would not work so I returned. Let me know how this one works. I just want to turn off the damn seatbelt chime! Lol

I had the same issue at first but stumbled upon a work around eventually. Cant remember where but I know there are ways to get the drivers to install on other versions of windows. Search the good old google before you decide to send it back.

I searched and tried about 5 methods. None of them would install even tried 2 different computers.

It seems the usual route is to buy a cable from a Chinese seller who in turn also provides a hacked TIS CD. A special *.dll file bypasses userid/password.

If one wishes to upgrade their Chinese TIS to a later version down the road, do they simply reapply the modified *.dll to get around userid/password?

Door Chime Disable ?

Hey guys, I took my 4runner in for my 5000 service and my buddy is one of the service advisers. He let me use his software to change some settings. I enabled the windows down and sunroof open with remote and up and down with the key. Also disabled seat belt buzzer driver and passenger.All works great. What I cant seem to find is the door chime disable. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this option. I must have overlooked something.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance

There is no door chime disable. It can not be turned off by program.

Does anyone know if you can turn off the warning message with "CONTINUE" that comes up on the LCD every time you start up with Techstream?

The sellers have released new Ver.10.30.029 and confirmed working. I found my self the free software link but have not tested yet. I load here for who need, TOYOTA TIS Techstream 10.30.029 Free Download | OBD365.com Official Blog software is on mega.co.nz, no virus,password needed (check detail).

This file needs an activation code to work. Download it and install, also download this file:

Zippyshare.com - MainMenu.7z

and replace the original mainmenu.exe file with this one and use the activation code in the attached text file.

techstream crashes

Hello, I just got new MINI-VCI J2534 cable for connecting to my lexus.
Application launches, it says connected to vehicle, but when I press customize settings or health check, it thinks about it for like one minute and application crashes itself.
When I check data and trouble codes on applications, it shows fine, but Health check and Customize settings does not work which is most important things.

I have two laptops with win 8.1, win7. installed 7.10, 7.20, 8.00, 8.30 10.30 versions on both computers, reinstalled drivers, ran applications as administrator, ran in compatibility modes. My win 7 laptops is 32-bit system. Changed regions on techstream still the same.
It connects successfully, but it doesn not shows VIN number, it says VIN not recognized, but I added it maunually.
It recognizes car model, but I need to select type of model to JZ160.
Installed win XP on virtual machine, still the same issue, everything works, except health check and customize settings. Here is the video link, you can see what exactly I am doing

Might wanna head over to lextreme's forum and ask them about your SC300, they will probably know the ecu better over there.

I have searched all over and can't find this online anywhere. Any help would be great.
