ToyotaTony's 1996 4runner Build

Finally getting around to starting a build for my 4runner. Some stuff has already been done but I'm using this to keep track of my progress and hopefully get some input from everyone on here! I'll be posting daily until I get caught up to how she sits today! But here she is the day I got her. 1996 4runner 3.4L 5sp about 165000 miles with the factory rear diff lock and of course 4wd :rockon:

First step, lift and tires!! I went with the Old Man Emu kit from toytec and got the 883 front coils along with the 891 coils in the back. For the tires I went with Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs LT285/75R-16. Sadly I didn't take any pics of the lift install, but It was pretty straight forward. And if I remember correctly the kit actually came with instructions...

That being said here's a pic right after getting the tires

Here's where I really started tossing money into the Runner.. At the time I was living only 45min away from the guys at addicted offroad. So after a week or two of trying to convince my wife, I was finally able to get a front plate bumper!

In the process of painting

While I was waiting for the paint to dry in between coats, I took my wife's car and drove down to the home depot where I picked up some gutter guard so I could do the satoshi grill mod!!

Added the TRD emblem I picked up on amazon for about $5. And repainted the bug deflector

Final product!!

Hahah Thanks, but yeah I'm not caught up yet to how she is currently. I will keep posting more later though, Either tonight or tomorrow!

Alright since I have a little time while the wife's getting ready Ill try and post a bit more!

After looking at that empty spot on my bumper for about a month, I broke and got myself a Winch! Its a Smittybilt XRC-8 8,000 lbs. Its pretty basic, but it'll get the job done. And for $280 brand new from amazon, I can't complain!
