toyotec superflex why do i need bumpstop extentions

Yes I completely understand. If you add 3" lift and lower them 3" your putting your bump stops back where they will function no madder the compressed length of the shock. If you go any further you will just ruin your up travel. Why dont you just take it off and measure if you dont believe me. Different year LC shocks can have different lengths also.

There may be some more truth to this when we're talking about the axle compressing at an angle (flex) vs the axle just going straight up and down. But at the end of the day, extending the bumpstops by the amount of lift is not the correct way to do it.

If you are capable of pulling the coils and measuring and also making your own bump stop extensions I would go that route. Save money and you won't limit your articulation. You might even be able to just use the day star bump stops since they are about 4-1/2" instead of our 2-1/2" or whatever it is.

I have two sets of extended bump stops for sale right now in the classifieds. $100 shipped. Shameless plug haha

these darn extended bump stops are so expensive for what they really are.

im glad i put my ARB Bumper frame extensions to work since they are not needed on a 4runner application...

for anyone with an ARB bumper just do what i did for an easy, simple and effective way to add length to your factory bumper stops!!!

check out my build for more on this topic

I made some out of some 2" square tubing while I ran LC shocks but since I don't need extended bumps anymore those got ditched

You could just stack washers haha. but you would probably ***** about the thought of that and buy something instead.
