Toytec Bilstein lift kit

Has anyone purchased and installed this lift kit? 3" lift ToyTec/Bilstein kit for 96-02 4Runner

If so, how do you like it? How is it with on and off road driving? Is it comfortable with bumpy roads? I appreciate your input!

Put this on a family members 4runner. I have the toytec ultimate with 906 springs and bilstein 5125 shocks. Mine has great road manners and plush ride almost too much spring in it. This lift kit your interested in is stiff imo, too stiff compared to mine. If I could mix both of these kits together than I would have the perfect ride. We haven't taken his off-road yet so I'm not sure how it performs. On freeway speeds its pretty bumpy, mine is a better ride and I'm have e rated ktm 2 mud terrains vs his load c discoverer at³. He did get the full 3" lift from it and sits pretty level.

I know it's pretty customizable, but I'm not sure exactly how to customize it for myself. I have the 99 highlander/sport 4Runner and it already comes 1" higher than other models, so I want 2" lift (which should total to 3" over the other models). I heard the bilstein shocks were better though. Maybe I could get the OME springs with the billies.

I can't comment on that setup as I haven't used it. I do use the OME 906 with 2 trim packers in the rear with bils and it just a tad too soft for me. I also run air bags in the rear too. When I camp I load mine up with a lot of stuff and don't experience much sag. If you do a quick search for that lift there are plenty of people that run it.

I do believe the OME 890 yeild a 3" lift over stock but do sag when packed down. The 891 hold weight better, but maybe stiffer. I haven't researched them in a while so I'm not sure how accurate this info is. There are a lot of people running the 890 springs. Maybe someone else can chime in on shocks and the front.

What is your main purpose for the lift? Fashion or function? Going to be loading it down
, towing?

There's tons of threads on this exact same lift and a bunch of people opinions. Searching is key to not being bashed on this site, if you start a thread that has already been discussed then you will either A. get no response or B. have a lot of the people that are tired of the same thread popping up every other day tell you to search.

I've got that lift albeit with Bilstein rear shocks. It's very easy driving and rides real nice. I'm very happy with it. Hoping to get it on the trails this weekend.

FYI, these are two totally different lift kits. It appears Toytec came out with a cheaper version that is a couple hundred bucks less than the ultimate. OP was asking about a specific lift kit not the ultimate you linked.

Did you purchase the rear bils seperate? I'm wondering if that will loosen it up. The kit didn't have an option for rear bils when a family member purchased it.

Please note that the thread you posted is about the Ultimate lift kit, the one I posted about is the $750 bilstein kit.

I understand. There are so many possible lift variations that sometimes the search function isn't enough, that's why I asked. I wanted to know about this one specifically.

Thanks for the info man! I took the plunge and bought it. Will start the install tomorrow. The lbj's are coming in on Tuesday, therefore I'll finally be able to use it again (someone gave me a stern warning about a leaking lbj, therefore I haven't driven it since).
