Toytec Boss Lift TRD Wheels and Nitto Terra Grappler G2's

Please excuse me if this has been posted anywhere but I can't seem to find this particular setup anywhere. I've seen the tire fitment guide but thats not what I am looking for.

Has anyone installed a Toytec Boss 3/2 with light Racing UCRs matched up to black TRDP Wheels and 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2's? I am trying to determine if this particular setup will require any trimming or further mods on my 2014 SR5P. I have everything purchased ( with the exception of tires) and ready to install on Tuesday.

If anyone does have this setup, I would appreciate any pics and intel.

I am installing that same lift this weekend. I got the front done today, doing the rear tomorrow. I have the same wheels, going to mount 285/70-17 Super Swamper Irok ND. You will find pages of debate on mounting 285s on 7 inch wide rims, so you can make your own decision on that. I will post pics later in the week and update on rubbing and so on.

Thanks for the replies. The body mount chop looks pretty easy, there seems to be different opinions on whether it needs to be done or not.

If anyone is running the Terra Grappler G2's in 285/70/17 with TRDP wheels a picture would be cool.

They don't work well on 7" wheel, mine started creating an uneven wear pattern, also had negative affect when driving at highway speeds. Already took them off and installed on 8.5" wheel, big improvement.

8" version of that wheel available soon.

Thanks for the reply, that's the information on the wheels that I was looking for. I previously purchased American Outlaw Deputy Wheels in Black/Machined along with Cooper ATX in 265/70/17 P rated tires but they wouldn't balance out. I really don't want a set of wheels/tires that won't balance out or don't work well with the vehicle again.

I ran 285' s on 7" stock wheels mine also started to wear in the center more. I. Swapped to 8" wide wheels. I have LR uca' and am nowhere close to rubbing body mounts. I did have to trim front linner though. I run Cooper at3' s which are pretty similar to the terra grapplers.

According to Discount tire the terra Grappler G2's fit a 7"-9" wheel. The G2's have a 50,000 mile warranty but I hate to have uneven wear, which will lead to road noise and out of balance tires.

It's going to vary from vehicle to vehicle. Even if ten people come here any tell you that they didn't have to trim a thing you may be the one to have to do some cutting. You won't know until it's too late.

Ive got the same set-up you will, but am running an 8.5 inch rim. Had to adjust caster to 4 degrees to avoid rubbing on the mud flap, and push the fender liner forward. The g2's have been great so far, quiet and good traction on mild, not too muddy trails and snow.
