Toytec Coilovers- Any other shock work with them?

So I bought the Toytec Boss lift 3 years ago. My Runner sits most of the summer except for hauling a few things and trips to MT (about 1600 miles round trip). My lift has 25K by far mostly highway miles and one front shock just started leaking. My question is: Can I buy a different brand shock and use it with the Toytec coilover or do I have to spend 800 or so for a different brand of coilovers? I don't really feel like "investing" in anything Toytec after this- 25K highway miles is a joke. The rep tells me that "high performance" parts are built for performance, not longevity. I don't think i'm asking too much for a suspension that is driven down the road to last more than 25K miles.

So, any suggestions for replacement shocks?

I think the issue with what you are wanting to do, if I understand you correctly, is that you can only buy front shocks packaged with the coil from other manufacturers. You can't buy the shock separate from what I've seen. The coils by themselves aren't too expensive though, either.

3 years is usually 40k miles for most people, if it is their daily driver. Sitting in the garage isn't helping the seals stay lubricated.

Yes, I wild like to use the coils and threaded adjustable fitting that came with the lift if possible and just buy new shocks. I realize sitting in the garage doesn't help, but it doesn't sit for months. I use it a minimum of two or three times per month. I just think 25K miles is very weak. And of course, the "warranty" is good for one year...

I was told nothing else fits. Mine started leaking at 5k miles then bent a few days later in Moab.

Good question, I might be doing the same in the future. You won't be able to reuse the threaded collars, the BOSS shocks are Eibach shocks customized for Toytec including the threaded collars.

You can probably reuse the coils, they're off the shelf Eibach coils, check with Toytec to get the length and inside diameter then you can probably put 5100's in or quite a few other brands.
