Toytec Tacoma rear shocks on a 08 T4R?

Hey! I have a quick technical question, please read and hear me out!

I have some BNIB Toytec LKTAC20R-P shocks (*05-23 Taco, 1-3" rear shocks).

I was wondering, ASIDE from the bottom eyelet size difference (which I could fix on my lathe as there is enough meat there to lap out a little bit for the larger 4Runner stud/mount), if there a major difference in the shocks that anyone knows of, that would prevent it?

My intent would be a 2" rear spring (Icon, etc) for a 3" front/2" rear level lift.

Are the Tacoma shocks:
1. Valved very differently from Toytec? (Tacoma vs T4R)
2. Compressed/Extended length, very different?

Tried searching everywhere, sent Toytec a message (still waiting), but maybe someone here would know!

I would hate to have to sell them and lose money etc. (Long story as to why I own them, haha)

So would like to know if I could use them, or best to sell them, eat the loss and get T4R specific shocks!

I don't KNOW the answer, but Mike @ Dobinsons told me that Tacoma rear shocks are not suitable for a T4r. I had too much body roll w/3rd Gen Taco take-offs. Put on the correct shocks & much better.

Tacoma rear shocks are not designed for the specs of a 4runner. Think about how light the bed of a tacoma is vs the rear of the 4runner with all of the extra metal and glass. Do yourself a favor and get 4runner specific rear shocks.

I guess what always threw me off, was a Tacoma bed can get loaded up with hundreds of pounds, so I figured the shocks should be capable handling extra weight!

But yea, its confirmed, they won't work - shorter and valved differently
