Toytec/Eibach Complete Front Coilovers

Hey ya'll! So after some hep from ya'll (Thank you) I've decided to upgrade both my UPC's and my front lift (currently have spacers in the front). Has anyone had any experience with the Toytec/Eibach Complete Front Coilovers - 3" Lift ? I haven't been able to find anything on this forum, and 1 positive and 1 negative review elsewhere.

Also, looking to get the All Pro UPC's. Anyone have experience with this company? I've heard it's next best thing to Total Chaos..but thats coming from my dealer who I can't decide if he knows what he's talking about. Ha.


Any insight at all would be very much appreciated!

I also have the all pro UCAs but like the total chaos ones they are just a regular uniball upper control arm
Nothing special
SPC actually can correct your camber when you lift the truck so that your alignment cams aren't maxed out.

Thanks for making it! I actually have watched this about 12 times to study how to replace a ball joint. Now i'll be watching it to install those springs!

I don't have any experience with the spc or all pro upper arms. However, having used camburg and total chaos upper arms, I have nothing but good things to say about those two options. Just be aware, going with a uniball upper control arm is going to require you press in the uniball adapter to the spindle which can be a pain.

Not sure what UPC stands for but I'm assuming you are referring to Upper Control Arms. I went with SPC UCA's for the ability to adjust them, more misalignment than Uniballs, Sealed Ball Joint, and Greasable.

As for Toytec coilovers, I just saw a post on FB of someone that broke theirs. Not sure how much more performance they offer over 5100's but I wouldn't spend that much money on coilovers unless I was going King, Fox, etc. Just my opinion though.

There not spanner wrench adjustable coilovers. There just Eibach Pro shocks with Eibach springs. I'd stick with the Billies if it was me. That's the lift I have and the front is butter smooth on the second perch with my bumper/winch.

Camburg included in the regular old uniball upper control arms nothing special
I've installed all 4 and like I said I own the all pros.
But the SPC are the only ones that give you more alignment adjustment.
The differences in the toytec coilovers and regular billies are that they are coilovers and have more adjustability to get the perfect stance you want not just three perches.
Also the strut mounts are different and give you more down travel rather than just a strut plate.

I'm pretty sure these are the coilovers the OP was referring to. They are not spanner style. C-clips just like the Billies, unless I'm missing something here:

Lol. No worries man. Most people around here think of "coilovers" to be threaded body style. In reality the stock front suspension is a coilover. So you have non-adjustable, c-clip adjustment and threaded body. Coilover literally means a coil over a shock/strut.

I may be in the minority here, but I much prefer preloaded stock 99 highlander springs with Bilstiens rather than the Toytec coils. The Toytec coils seem way stiffer than they need to be. Preloaded stock springs in my opinion give a much better ride while still being controlled. With the Toytec/Eibach coils at 3" of lift I never touched the bump stops even over jumps. And I have a lot of weight up front, so I can't imagine them with stock weight.

Good to know. The whole reason why I want new UCA's is to at least correct the extra stress its putting on my upper ball joints. The spindle and stock UCA's meet at a pretty weird angle now due to my current spacers.

I guess I also assumed it corrected for alignment. Thats not the case? Is it gonna get any better?

At risk of sounding like a newb (i am) what do you mean you never touched the bump stops? You didn't have a lot of travel, flex or play when hitting bumps?

I'm at 3.5" right now using the second perch. THat's with aftermarket bumper and winch. When first installed without extra weight first perch was at 3.5". I'm very happy with them for what I payed for them. I can't compare them to the Eibachs Pro's though cause I've never ridden in a vehicle that has them.

Wow. Do you have a link to those shocks and whatever coils you got? I was reading on the toytech site that the billsteins max height is 2.5 "and you should keep it at it's lowest setting paired with eiboch choils as to prevent damage etc etc"

No they do not correct any alignment issue they just give you a uniball to correct that weird angle you OE ballpoint is at
And it does make the world of difference in ride quality cause your ball joint gets more range of motion
I had the lift installed for a couple months while my UCAs were being built and when I got them installed it was night and day
The only reason I went with the all pro and not the SPC is cause I got hem on a group buy here on he forum.

3" lift ToyTec/Bilstein kit for 96-02 4Runner

Everyone who has gotten that lift has gotten at least 3" from stock. As far as the warning about not going above the first notch, whatever. Mines only been raised to the 2nd notch for a few weeks but I see zero adverse effects. I'm sporting a custom bumper/winch and it drives great for the price point.

Why do you want 3" of lift? Are you planning on doing any close to serious trails? If it's just a looks thing you may want to get closer to 2" of lift to keep the CV angles a bit happier. Once my truck is locked and I get to harder trails, I am sure I'll be snapping CV's. If you live by my moto it's a thing to plan for. Build it, beat it, break it. Repeat.
