Toytec Extended Rear Brake Line Question

I got the rear extended brake line for Christmas and I was going to install it today. After I got the OEM line off I noticed that one side of the line is different on the toytec line.

On the OEM line, the axle side of the rubber brake line is concave ===<

On the Toytec line, the axle side of the brake line is convex ===>

I felt inside the hardline fitting on the axle and internally it is convex which matches with the OEM line. I would have expected the Toytec line to be concave like the OEM line. Based on pictures on the web, it looks like the Wheelers offroad line has a concave end just like the OEM brake line.

Am I missing something with this or does this seem wrong?

Just an upgrade. The stock hoses are getting old so I figured I would switch to stainless while I was replacing them anyways. My fronts actually have small cracks in them so it's definitely time.

So the Toytec extended rear brake lines don't fit? I have yet to install mine, and honestly don't know where to start. Will I have to bleed the brakes? I bought them because I was under the impression that the OEM ones will be too short after my lift, amid the OEM is made of rubber, so might as well install something that will last
 
My toytec line worked just fine. Not sure exactly what the problem your having but everything threaded right clamped right and works fine no leaks.

Yes you will need to bleed all 4 corners. Passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, driver front. In that order.

Because they are rubber lines that need replaced especially on a 20 year old vehicle with 300+ miles. It also extends the line and is SS so it dont flex and less chance of failure.

Why is the order important?

And boarder can you post pictures? When I installed my stainless lines it was kinda confusing and weird how everything plugged together.

Because you always start furthest from the reservoir to avoid air in the lines.

I dont see how its confusing. The line connects just like the stock line. You have two ends. You screw them on and done.

This is why I decided to replace my rear brake line when I replaced my fronts. My right front was cracking so I opted to do both fronts. Anytime you allow air in your lines, to insure you do not have any air in the system, its best to start the furthest away from the brake master cylinder. I did this at the same time as my tundra brake upgrade so it really wasn't much more work.
 
Some what related question , I've got an '01 and it came with the main line and two smaller ones (for the ABS I guess) where do those go? I haven't crawled under there yet to look around.
 
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this. I went out and took the brake line off again to verify the problem. I snagged a picture of the stock line vs the toytec line. This picture is the axle side of the brake lines.



If you look at the ends of each line, the stock line has an inward cone and the toytec line has an outward cone. I was under the impression that with brake lines you want to them to match correctly. If I use the toytec line I think it will reduce the amount of sealing surface area. What am I missing here?

I picked up an extended rear line from toytec the other day and besides rusty bolts everything went smoothly, I didn't really look at the ends closely, but I fee like mine looked a bit different. is there a chance you ordered the one with traction control and don't need it?

OP, you have a line that didn't get all of the required machine work.

That fitting is an inverted flare and should be the female side of the cone and look like infamousRNR's is.
