Toytec OME RHD difference

Installing my OME 881/890 with front top plate spacer I got from Toytec tomorrow. I have a 3.0L TD '96 right hand drive JDM Surf 4WD.

For the front 881 w/ top plate: The assembled set has drivers side marked with a sticky label from Toytec. I'm assuming this is to displace the sagging that occurs from the driver always being in the truck and the added weight from the steering assemblies being on that side. Is this correct? If so then I should install on my RHD drivers side.

Secondly, I found the OME spec sheet for the Prado that the 4Runner lift is taken from. It states that 881s are a "light duty spring for TD vehicles or a lift spring for petrol vehicles" Did I just screw the pooch on my lift selection since the TD engine is heavier along with the double batteries?

For the rear 890: The springs are labeled with the part number and an "A" or "B" designator. The "A" spring is slightly higher as is referenced in the above spec sheet. Again, on a RHD vehicle, should this go on my drivers side or the U.S. version drivers side?

Always install the higher coils on the driver's side so since urs is RHD then id install it on the right because if not then itll sag from the live load.

The main reason for the difference is because the fuel tank is on left side (US drivers side), not because of the driver. I would install the coils as if it were a US spec vehicle.

From the SS install guide: Rear Cornbred Spacer, Downey Coil & Old Man Emu Coil Install
It's for the 891 but still applies since there is an equal height difference.

"When you install the Old Man Emu 891 coils, they will more than likely be labeled for a vehicle not sold in the U.S. The correct placement of the coils REGARDLESS of any labels is the longer/taller spring goes on the drivers side, same side as the gas tank."

So that covers the rear, still concerned about the front 881

Put the strut for the DS on your DS. The front ones are marked to offset the weight of the driver, the rears are marked to offset the gas tank.

Yeah i was wondering why the gas tank will effect the front driverside suspension (that much). Are the specs for the US and ? (others) the same?

Seems like sound logic guys. I got the same answer from Toytec support but also added that I may not get as much lift as expected due to the additional front weight.
It's going on the truck today so we'll see what the measuring tape says.

Good luck and post up the results!

Forgot to post the results but it's been over 2 years now. In any case, the install was super easy since I read all the directions on here. I had paid the extra $100 for Toyotec to assemble the shock and spring so there really wasn't a choice of which to mount where. Toyotec marked the drivers side assembled shock/spring and there was no way to fit it in the opposite side (RHD drivers side) without tearing it apart. The only problem I have is my tires rubbing when I have a front seat passenger and I'm going up a decent incline while turning. That's not much of a problem in my opinion.
