Anything I need to know before starting the install?

How big can I go with tires? I've heard on another board you can go as large as 35's with a 4" lift if you're willing to do some trimming in the fender well.

What Rim backspacing will allow me to run the largest tire?

How much will the lift effect my towing abilities?

This is not a show truck, I will be doing serious off roading in it. Will I see significant Flex improvement if I get some Allpro Control arms for the rear?

Recommendations for a burly skid plate? With the low factory height clearance mine is ready to fall off from so much abuse from Rocks:thumb3:..

Metaltech should sell the brake lines.

I'd imagine you could fit 33's for sure, not sure about 35's.

But built skids seem to be pretty popular.

Also all the extra weight will affect towing. There's a threat called 2005 v8 overheating that was recently made. Look around for that.

Towing after the lift definitely isn't what it was like stock but I recently towed a wrx(transmission) back from ft. Bragg to Reno on hwy 20 with no issues. Roughly 5600lbs with car, trailer and camping gear.

Thats good news, I'm looking for a tiny Camping trailer. I've found a few in the 3K-4K range. I'd like to be able to tow it!
